Maybe I looked at the links a bit too late, but the J-Spec site lists ever so slightly higher Kms than the other site *shrugs* Also, how many vehicles do they deal with every day, maybe it was a honest mistake that they've now corrected... who knows. If you're unsure of their business practices, walk away and find someone else, it's that simple!
This isn't directly related to J-Spec or any other importer but the way I look at it is like this. If you think that our 10+ year old cars all somehow miraculously only have 60 to 80 thousand Ks on them then you are quite gullible IMHO. Do you really thing it's a coincidence that almost every car straight off the boat has very similar KMs? For whatever reason the KMs are low, it is what it is. Either way, you're still buying a 10+ year old car (in most cases) so expect it to be just like any other vehicle with similar age. Don't look at the Kms alone to decide if it's a good buy, perhaps consider the general appearance of the car as a better indicator of it's condition.
Also, just as a general note to everyone wanting to participate in this topic, unless you have personal experience with J-Spec and can provide factual evidence I suggest you don't start throwing around opinions. Just saying

Never imported but its not hard to swap low k's dash's or be dojy.
Personally theres that many low km Chasers around ATM its worth looking interstate for everything. If i was to import my next car it would have to be 100% modded. Cost of importing parts from japan to start even getting 300kw with handling mods is almost double the purchase price I think.

Didn't you just contradict yourself? How would the low-km cars interstate be any different to getting one from Japan? If anything, they're MORE likely to be wound back!
It's simple:
If it's freshly imported, ask for a copy of the de-reg paper (or export certificate, same thing)to verify the kms. Even second time around, it's worth asking private owners if they have it too. I send them to my guys when they import.
As for the topic at hand, that looks like a basic typo to me - if someone genuinely wanted to wind back an odometer, it wouldn't be for just 20,000km...I've seen Delicas in import car yards with the 2 wiped off before the 74,000km....
Of course, when people can buy a 74,000km Delica here for $15K, they presume I can get them for cheaper - you can imagine their response when I tell them a genuine low-km Delica will be closer to $20K...

And that's before you install the guava beverage coolers.
