yeah i'v got 6.5 inch speakers in front and back doors just cut the standard speaker out
of the plastic bracket that screws to the door and screw new one in its place
to put 6.5" in the back i cut the plastic bracket height down by half because its tapered
then used a spacer to space the speaker out so door internals don't hit the speaker magnet
then also check the door trim will fit on before fitting
sounds soooo much better

i just finished my install and fitted 6.5's alpines in the rear with mdf spacer to clear the internal door hinge. Alpine supply the speaker mounts so i just screwed it in the factory place and it fitted nicely. happyyy

yup. alpine s type speaker mounts onto the factory screws but first i screwed the MDF spacer (5 1/4 not the 6.5 inch because its too big) then to the mount then speaker. once on, fitted it back on and away ya go

rear speakers are overrated. Just spend a little more on decent fronts unless you plan on always having passengers in the back...
For a stock system it's pretty good. I'll prob just replace the fronts to get a crisper sound.

Yeah just telling the peeps what fits in the rear mounts. I also think the stock system is fantastic... i've replaced everything with Alpine and Pioneer stuff and yes its cleaner and crisper but not really worth the money... stock was more than adequate
