digging up an old thread here. =) pat, what fuel octane are you running? i'm running pretty much the same setup you are 1jzgte VVTi and GT3076R turbo (newer version) with accompanying fuel and computer to support it all. i'm trying to hit the 400rwhp/300rwkw mark and i'm starting to get worried that i won't be able to hit it on 91 octane. did you get a chance to install the stiffer WG spring yet and dyno your car at 25psi?
Id say it would be almost impossible with 91ron. If you dont have access to decent fuel grab some toluline

yeah unfortunately the gasoline in California sucks... we used to have 92 then they watered it down to 91. most of the United States has access to 93.... how does one of the largest economies in the US get shafted on fuel? i blame the environmentalists and democrats! haha

Holy crap.... 91 and 93 octane??
Here in holland we have 95, 97 and 98 at the pumps!
Just wish we'd have 100 like the Japs do.

Chuck in 100mls of Toluene with every 20L's of fuel and you'll be right.

i know i could always tune my car with 100octane fuel, however my goals for the car are for it to be a daily driver. that means being able to use gas from any pump in my area which means a 91 octane tune. for the same reason i don't want to do meth injection, i don't want to have to carry around and worry about having fuel additives in my car. =T

Hey mate you will be happy to know that in the U.S. they use a different rating system. We use RON in Australia, you use a system that gives an average between RON and MON. MON is what aviation fuel is rated on.
Aviation fuel AVGAS is 100MON and 130RON its basically the best due to its massive lead content which slows the burn. Although slower burn (octane rating) isn't the only propery of a fuel that determines how much power you will make.
