So the TEs rocked up in less than a week from postage! Gotta love EMS.

Posted Image

One wheel was made in 2001 and the other is 2004 and so then the white's on the two wheels are a little off.. Ah well.

Finished uni early today so went to Wheeltech to rotate tyres and have the white's fitted. Here is the result!

Note, crappy iphone pictures because my slr battery is dead.

Not digging the white TE look at the moment. Bronze is a hard one to beat.

No chance of any wider rubber out back unfortunately :(

What's your favourite?

I think, bronze > white > grey. Good thing because the grey pair are dead anyway lol

And how about some brand new Meisters?

Enough about wheels.. Tampered Motorsport track day this coming Labour Day Monday! No 'time improving' mods so it'll be good to see how I perform compared to the last day out.

Few last things to do before the day though, refit my deafening exhaust and complete fluid change.

Toyota diff fluid, Redline MT90 tranny fluid, Toyota Red Long Life Coolant, Penrite SIN brake fluid and spark plug change :)

Hahah thanks guys. And it's all from hard part time work at Coles :P A LOT of my coin goes towards this car. More towards the car than the missus! :whistling:

And believe me, I was tempted to buy a set of Rotas when I found out a pair of the TEs were gone, but sucked it up and paid for genuine ones. Not to prove anything to anyone, just personal satisfaction of having the real stuff :)

Thanks Charlie! I'm gonna need it! haha It's a 26 dry day forecasted so we'll see how much temperature has an affect on my times as I don't really have any new mods since the last day out. 44 is definitely the time I want but after the last track day, I've kinda lost hope :P We'll see..

So today I got around to buying more maintenance bits for the car.

I've since changed coolant, diff and gearbox fluid. Yet to drive it. Still need to do spark plugs before any driving, but happy to say everything's gone fairly smoothly. And LOVE that pump thingo I bought for the diff and gearbox oil changes. Awesome $24 spent haha

Spark plugs change in a few minutes, brake fluid change hopefully later tonight when I get another set of hands and exhaust on tomorrow. Then I'm pretty much set! :D

NGK BKR7E. Currently running them and have been awesome. Stopped the miss fire I had in high revs with... Some iridium plugs I had previously.

Thought I'd share this with everyone..

Toyota key for size comparison.

Posted Image

Posted Image
Crack on the opposite end of the barrel. This had been welded up previously.

Posted Image
Crack through weld.

This was one of my TEs. While the tyre was still on, it was holding air perfectly fine. Crack seemed to have increased in size after removal of tyres.

Now, what to do with it? :P

Edit: The other wheel to this pair is also damaged. I believe it's warped. This will become my new spare wheel! Finally a spare which clears my brakes :)

I'd grind that out, reweld and machine it properly. Where did you purchase the SIN brake fluid?
