Panzer... E85 should be going into it when I do the ECU and tune... not sure on the time frame with that...

Whale... is the BOV the black thing under the air filter... I think we may have the same coilies...

Prok... if they take the brakes off the I want them back... and that will be fine with me...

S0unIQ... Had a closer look at the coilover pics I think your right... I think I was just happy it had coilovers...

Ash... I gave Chef a budget of 18K-20K landed & complied... still yet to get paper work then I'll let you know the price of the car on it's own
As for the BOV this will be plumbed back... I may be asian but no rice for me... lol... wanna keep kinda stealthy...
If I go external gate again it will be plumbed back... dont need popo & EPA on my ass for that shit...

has anyone had experience with the 6boost manifold??? and is it standard mount or high mount???

since I dont have a FMIC... does anyone know anything about this one:

If you want to run E85 I'd go for some injector dynamics 1000cc topfeeds. They are very linear with the injection and have a great spray pattern so you will still have excellent idle/cruise AFR's.

I'd recommend a vipec ECU and also run an ethanol content sensor wired into the ECU. This way your ECU can be mapped to automatically compensate for the amount of ethanol in the fuel mix, it can run dual fuel maps if you really want but I'd take advantage of the 4/5D fueling and do it properly. A little bit of info on Ethanol Content sensors can be found here: http://www.zeitronix...cts/ECA/ECA.htm
The vipec's have built in support for the JZX100 triggers/vvt and offers closed loop VVT control.

Yeah, here's a closer pic:

I'm pretty sure we do have the same coilovers, they're street spec so if you're looking to track it you might want to look for some with higher spring rates.

I think a couple of people have HDi FMICs, I know Bill had one on his chaser and it looked very decent quality.

HHHMMM ok thanks CHA54... Had a quick look at the vipec... looks interesting... I like the fact its got VVT-i control built in... the ECA looks interesting as well... May show my mechanic that as well... as for injectors I think I'll see what the standard ones are capable of first and if it's not enough I'll invest in new injectors...

Whale... I may have to get you to post some pics of the HDi FMIC (if you can get them of course)... looks good for $700 odd...
Also what brand is you BOV??? Looks monster... is it plumbed back or does it vent to atmosphere???

It's a Tial Alpha Q and it's plumbed back. I don't have any pics of the FMIC but if you search through the members rides threads there will be some.

You will definately need some injectors if you're running E85, I just bought some Power Enterprise 800cc.

With a PFC you would want to run a standalone Ethanol Content Analyser like the one in my link above to keep an eye on the ethanol level unless you're buying the fuel in drums from CSR. The last thing you want is to get an average batch of fuel from a station and pop the engine, and the PFC can't compensate for the varying ethanol content.

As for running E85 on stock injectors... good luck. You need a hell of a lot more fuel running E85.

does the ethanol analyser make adjustments if required? or it tells you whats going on?

You need an ECU capable of making adjustments from the analyser output, the powerFC can't do this. The analyser's only user with a powerfc is to monitor the ethanol content of whatever batch of E85 you fill up on so you dont push the engine with a low content tank.
