A major update is on its way, last month my engine suffered from big eng failure spun 2 rod bearings crank shaft was beyond repair to factory tolerences for regrind, was pronounced bent by the machine shop, so I decided to go all out and forge the whole engine and rebuild my self I will post up step by step guide of engine build as soon as parts start arriving but for now I have proposed spec list of new engine and pics of parts gathered, still waiting on delivery of quite a few bits and bobs before I can start building and assembling the engine, but everything has been degreased cleaned, block has been honed ready for new pistons.

2jzgte engine spec
-stock block degreased and honed to take 86mm pistons
-crankshaft from N/A supra which is same as 2jzgte one
-all new acl race bearings stock size big ends and rod
-86mm cp pistons with new rings and eagle rods with arp 2000 rod bolts
-arp main studs
-new toyota oem Oil pump+new front seal all new oem gaskets
-oil pick and sump pan all degreased
-vibra technics solid engine mounts
-Gates racing timing belt
-koyo timing belt tensioner and idler pulley
-boostlogic dampned crank pulley

cylinder head specs
-the existing head was fully ported and polished so I will just reuse that but clean, degrease and install all new components
-reuse existing HKS 272 duration exhaust camshaft with HKS cam sprocketes
-reuse existing HKS 264 duration inlet camshaft with stock cam sprocket
-new valve stem seals
-reuse existing valves, reseat valves on cylinder head
-new oem stem seals
-Brian crower valve springs with titanium retainers
-arp head studs
-oem headgasket
-same hks t51r turbo kit, heat wrapping downpipe, manifold etc
-Ku engineering intake manifold with modfied flange to take either 80mm throttle body or 100mm both to retain stock tps sensors.
-rocker covers to get degreased down and -10 fittings tigged on for breather system setup.

heres how the old girl looks at the moment

while I was at it I also managed to get an external fuel pump setup installed, my home made jobbie as I could not find a decent bracket to mount the pump I made my own by riviting 2 jubliee clips to the cars chassis swapped my bosch 044 pump from the tank and mounted extenally fed via swirl pot, got a bosch 040 mounted that in tank and got all new braided lines to work with factory fuel lines.

stock 2jz n/a crankshaft all degreased and cleaned ready to go in

acl rod and main race bearings with boostlogic crankshaft damper pulley

My existing engine mounts were shot so needed replacement I was looking everywhere for a set of decent mounts at first I was going to get a set of trd ones but they were expencive and I did not think of them to be any better that oem ones. So I managed to find this company
http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk very helpful they made a set for the very first time to suit jzx100 chasers and mark 2, they have best of both worlds solid mounts combined factory smooth sound isolation from the cabin, great quality too
