Rolled the guards on Friday but didn't quite turn out how i would have liked them. There is a gay plastic strip screwed into the guard that has no purpose what so ever, so where i removed the screws it has left indents as there wasn't enough metal to do a completely smooth roll. I'll post some pic's up of how the car sits at them moment on the weekend when it's not raining.

Also got my "new" engine on the weekend with a free engine stand, score. Semi pulled it down to check bore specs and they're only worn 0.002" so I can get away with a hone. Crank checked out all fine too with no scoring. Piston's look a little sad but a Robowash and sandblasting of the crowns should bring them up nicely for some heat coating.

Progress will be slow as the machine work is free and can only do it when it suits my old man, but gives me time to shop around and triple check everything.
