Thought i'd post a build up thread on my 1JZ Mark II (it's really my girlfriends but she lets me mod it haha)

It's a 95 green auto MarkII with 83 xxxkm on the clock.
It's pretty much stock bar HKS springs, cat back with BLITZ NUR cannon and turbo timer.

Plans for when i get back from the mines and have moola to spend:

ARC front mount kit Posted Image
Bronze CE28n rims
Recaro buckets
Deep dish steering wheel

Things i might buy:
Twin turbo upgrade
Hippo Sleek body kit
Coilovers

Hoping for around 450hp at rears with a manual conversion down the track.
Keep tuned for small updates here and there.

Brendon

Airflow divert/shroud ey? I didnt think our cars really needed it tbh but I got to check it out one day.
I see you got some nice basic mods needed for drift there, I would highly recomend a diff and swaybars to for the first few mods, will you be competing or just street?
Anyway keep up your members profile and come down for a brekky sometime, new members always welcome.

forget the kit, youll smash it eventually, if its drift your building it for, spend the cash on a 2way. other mods will be sweet slider.

They don't need it but it makes the engine bay abit more presentable. I left alot of stuff out as it was a quick summary list but they will be on the list eventually.

Couple of reasons:
-Girlfriend needs to be able to drive the car and not have so much punch you in the face power like the 26 we had
-Everyone goes down the big single route so i want to do something different
-Twins will be much more responsive
-And it will eventually be the family car lol

I made a twin GT28R turbo setup for my 1jz two years ago, I was going to try to make an oem look setup, but it was going to be way to much work at the time, so I made a set of SS tubular mani's and off the shelf Garret GT28R turbos run in parallel. I figured I would post my results her scince they are relavent to this thread. They responded very good on the 1jz, even with only 2.5L displacement, they had a full 18+ psi boost at about 3700-3800 rpm. At 15 psi they made 370 rwhp, and at 19 psi on 94 pump gas 470 whp. I took these up to 22 psi with a 94 pump/C16 mix and made 502 whp and 470 TQ. I couldnt turn up the boost any more because my spark was getting blown out. These start to get out of thier efficiancy at 24-25 psi and I wouldnt take much past this. I think there was about 530-550 whp max with thes turbo's at 25psi. They did surge a bit at part throttle and cruising speed on the highway, which got a little annoying, but they spooled up very fast once you got on it. I personally think that the GT28R is too small for the 2jz and even the 1jz and the gt28RS would be a better match.

My mods were: stock 1jz, Mines tuned ECU, Greddy E-manage, 720cc injectors, twin 2.5" downpipes, 3" mid pipe and 3.5" exhaust.

I'll continue waying up the pros, cons and prices on single v twin setup.
