dont really need to bother as we have cai from factory. it sits on top of radiator and flows air from the front grill onto the airbox. theres also another one under the headlight.

Nope. Haven't tried yet, but been planning on opening it up a little. Not quiet to the same extent, but enough to get a little better flow. Diverter panels are good idea but with our existing CAI's not much point. Maybe just top/side one to keep filter out of sight and keep a bit of heat out.
Plus we have over radiator CAI. The best spot to put your 3kw TRD stickers

Yep done the JZX version of the BFI.
If you have a look inside the air box you can see that there is a panel after the air filter that restricts the air flow. Cut that out.
Also Cut a hole at the front of the box and route some tubing from under the headlight to the front bar.
100kw gains instantly, 50% more flow than ARC box.

This is for a x90 but I believe it would apply for a x100
The only pic I dont have is the routing of the ram pipe under the headlight
But as you can see all you need to do is connect the ram tube into the hole on the box.
Cutout hole at front

Cut out baffle
