So it appears everyone has fairly different opinions on the stock bov and whether to unplug it or mod it. Im going to mod mine soon just to suss it for myself, well i said that last week but ran out of time. Anyway so is it confirmed that at the end of the day the best option is still to get an aftermarket bov whether it be plumb back or vents to atmosphere?

Yes many different opinons, bit like a stab in the dark really.I just worked it out for myself after trial and error,so then you can draw to your own conclusion.

only an aftermarket plumb back will give you the response your after with an airflow metre
otherwise an atmo makes it bogs down and nearly stalls between gear changes and is not nice to drive

Disconnected it, probably first thing I did once I bought it. I was told it wouldn't affect the engine/turbo.. will it?!

Will reduce the life of the turbo especially when getting off the throttle at higher boost.
