just got a question about filling up with new trans oil. You've taken the hose running from the trans system TO the radiator off which is the hose the dirty oil is coming out. How come you didn't use the hose running FROM the radiator back to the sump to suck up the new oil? wouldn't this be easier than filling up via the dip stick every 2L? or am i missing something?
Thanks, Jacob

Doubt that would work, it would be the + pressure from the pump which pushes the oil through the cooler and back to the trans sump not suction pulling it through.
I did mine recently, used exactly 2 containers (8 litres) to be flushed and full.

Bringing up a real old post but i thought this might be some useful info. Toyota (maybe just WA) do not sell their own brand of DEXIII anymore as i tried to get some last week. They told me they can't compete with Castrol and the likes. The service centre at Morley Toyota said they buy the Castrol oil buy the 44g drum and use that in all the cars they service.
