im currently installing a sub/amp in the boot and was wondering if someone can suggest the easiest way to get power to the sub? from what i can see, there's not much in the way of getting a wire from the battery to the amp. any suggestions?

run it straight from the battery, make sure its fused!
from memory there should be a grommet near pedal box/steering shaft area tio get the cable inside, then run it along the edge to the rear, just remember run your RCA cables down the other side

Top left of engine bay behind the strut tower you can see a hole where some stock wiring loom currently goes into. That hole leds to the inside of the driver's side guard. From there you'll have to poke through some foam/rubber to get through to the cabin. If you have any current extras or a boost gauge installed you may probably already see lines going there.
Anyway, it's a shit job but you'll have to pull apart a bit of the guard lining under the guard to gain access to inside the guard. Easiest way to feed wires through is to have all the cables ready in the engine bay so you only have to feed them through once. Once they are ready you have to get under the driver's side dash and obviously pull the stuff in the way off. Then force a straightened coat hanger through the foam rubber to the deepest far right (it will be out of visible site), it will come out into the guard and you'll have to grab it from the engine bay (Having a mate to help you push and pull the coat hanger while you are trying to grab hold of it is necessary to eliminate hours of rage). Then get some electrical tape to attach the wires to the coat hanger. Once you have a smooth and secure seal just pull the coat hanger back out from the cabin and your wires should come through with it.
You can run your cables along the door sils then all the way through to the boot behind the backseats.

mine runs straight down the left/passenger side of the car. small slice in the rubber where the loom goes through the fire wall an feed it through. comes out in the footwell. easy and shortest most direct route.
