HI all new sydney member here recently came to the toyota car scene ( from MAZDA rotaries)

bought myself a auto jzx100 from BLACKHEART about a month ago
is awesome car but not quite as quick as my last car s5 rx7 turbo import
Attached File  mychaser4.jpg   34.86K   40 downloads
am now in the process of converting car to a manual will post pics of conversion once finished
plus a list of everthing needed to be changed to do an auto to manual conversion on a jzx100 properly .

since owning the car have installed a os giken str twin plate clutch and have a tomei 2 way lsd to put in
as well as a haltech e11v2 to be installed soon. once the manual conversion is complete i will be buying
a front mount intercooler and installing it followed by a larger turbo(probably gt3076r of similair on adapter plate on standard manifold) :)
to give the car the power i'm really after ,once my bank account has recovered as have spent alot over the last month

just need to find out a few things is the speedo ran by the abs computer
and how do i find the reverse lights ( was unsuccessfull in locating the wires thought it was easier than actually is

welcome to JZXWorld

there's been a few of us who've conveted their auto's to manuals so if you search around you'll find most of your answers in various topics..

but to answer your last two, the reversing lights wiring runs through the main auto trans plug. you'll find that by bridging the reverse pins on that plug will activate the reversing lights, plus the anoying reversing beeper, i'll post up a pic of the JZX90 trans plug to show. some guys simply cut the two reversing wires out of the auto trans plug and wire them straight up to the reverse plug on the gearbox. if your installing an aftermarket ECU then you wont need to worry about the car stalling or running a bit strange from time to time, as some other's who've converted their auto 100's to manual have mentioned. as for the speedo drive, the electrical speedo plug on the auto JZX100 should plug straight into the R-154 gearbox.

Welcom dude!
Looks like a very nice starting point. Document your auto --> manual conversion if you can, would be great to see how exactly its done/whats involved!

Cheers, Joey

if you use a test light, or even just a 50mm length of wire, try bridging the various pins on your auto trans plug. eventually you'll find the ones that'll turn your reversing lights on. the only pic i have isn't that clear and mainly shows the neutral starter wires, plus it's off the JZX90 so possibly different to the 100 anyway.
