Hi there ,

those of you who have read my intro will know i'm currently looking at a new car once my PS13 sells , i'm currently in abit of a bind as i'm looking at a JZX90 Tourer V Mark II or a Lexus/toyota IS200/Altezza.

My current dillemma is slower and newer or faster and older.

one of the major deciding factor is luxury as i'm coming from a 1100kg 400+rwhp car and wanting not to kill myself in it so the only other way to go and still appreciate cars is interior and exterior.

Anyway with my spiel over i'm hoping some of you helpful chaps could post some interior pics of your JZX90's (preferably tourer v mark II) as i'm absolutely in love with the IS200 interior.

also noting any notes about interior like electrics etc.

As for swaying your decision i was looking at is200s before i bought my mark II and i'm so glad i didn't get it because the mark II is luxury and kick arse performance.

And as for the killing yourself bit you've got to die sometime and besides once you get the turbo bug nothing is the same

Personally i think that the only thing that lets jzx90's down are their interiors It's comfortable and effective but not very pretty. Mine has blue vinyl, the woodgrain somehow doesn't fit with the sports car theme, the seats are a bit "80's" and the gear shift mechanism (on autos) is plain ugly. If you can stretch your money a bit further the jzx100 interiors are MUCH nicer and then you've got the option of going Power FC and still having an auto.

Don't get me wrong, i love my jzx90 and it's a great car to cruise around in but aesthetically it leaves a bit to be desired in the interior stakes. Of course you can always change that with a bit of money but i get the impression you don't want to do that with your next car?

Incidentally, how much are the IS200's you're looking at?

around the 22k mark , the ones over east are considerably cheaper , but i wouldn't mind waiting awhile and saving abit more cash to get the exact one i want. I can't say i've looked into the JZX100 as the ones i've seen for sale are the VVTI ones which are above 30k and well above my price range.

The '100' guys on here would know more (obviously) but i think you would be able to get a jzx100 for about that kind of money (ie. $22,000) providing you don't mind an auto. I remember Jeff from C-Red a while ago was thinking of selling his Mark II for around $26,000 with 18's full bodykit and exhaust.

The interior really improved a lot with the 100's as well with carbon fiber bits and a very modern feel while still having intuitive controls and being well set out.

everything else looks quite good but that pattern .... ewww

yeah i like the jzx90s interior better myself (not that i'm onesided ) the seats in the 90s look from that picture heaps more hugging and bettera

I agree the zebra pattern seats and trim in the jzx100's is a bit odd but other than that the interior is very nice. I could live with that trim pattern because i know i could always change it and it wouldn't cost a stupid amount. The jzx90's main interior problem is the dash and centre console which essentially are not changeable.

Have you been in both models yet?

negatory , i'm doing all my nerdy research atm.

if i do get a JZX90 i'll be looking at getting "ONE JZX90"'s tourer as i think it's a pretty good base and i wouldn't need much more done to it.

as for jzx100 , not many around unless through a dealer *shudder*

jzx90 seats basically suck. 100's are a lot better as far as stock seats go. you can put 100 seats into a 90 (easily) or better yet get aftermarket fronts.
