I like going fast around corners but unfortunaly if im going to fast the car takes to corner but i end up in the passenger seat or out the window (please note that this has not actually happenned it is an exageration)
now, i am a rather large fellow being 195cm tall (thats roughly 6ft 4inches) and ~140-150kgs. I have found that all the aftermarket seats that i have looked at dont come high enough up my back and also the base isnt wide enough?
does anyone know a brand that makes seats for the larger person rather than tiny jap racers. is it even worth getting an aftermarket seat? what are the legalities around changing your car seats? does any one know? what aftermarket seats are people on here using?
that is all
cheers

Stock seat sux aye, I'd always be leaning hard against the console and door when fangin' it. I got a Bride Zeta3, and it's like sitting in a vice (I'm only 75kg), which is 470mm across from the edges, so about 400mm waist space in between the sides.
Maybe it's a good time to start shedding some of ya baby fat, and I mean that in the most considerate and polite way.
Should look around at some American or Australian made seats - maybe they cater for the bigger boy, whom eat things other than rice and raw sea creatures.

Same here mate (scarily same actually, I'm 6'4" and the wrong side of 130kg). I still haven't found a comfy seat for the husky gentleman but holding some hope for Recaro and Buddy Club. Someone on JDMST suggested that none of the Bride seats would suit a big dude.

ive contemplated getting the standard seats retrimmed and built up to be a bit more "huggy". im only 5'10ish but im a nice even 100kgs. ive been told it can be done....never got a price tho. gets around the legality issues tho.

I'm about 185cm and 100kg, I've got been in Recaro's (SR2, SR3 and SR4) and in a Bride Cuga (one of the biggest seats made by bride).. I think by far the best is SR4 (out of a DC5R Integra), they have wider bolster for your arse and the shoulder bolster are a little tighter but I like being able to move my legs rather then my arms
I picked mine up off Resistor, never looked back (SR2 I believe).. And I still don't know how Adam fits into his Zeta, that shit is TOIGHT!
Heres a shitty phone shot:

my main problem is the shoulder width
the recaro might be worth a try tho. ill have to have to try it next time i see you snoopz. being an oem part for the integra it would have to be able to fit big and small builds. still like the idea of the side air bags tho. ive been t-boned before, bike ran a red light, it hurts

aftermarket seats never come high enough up my back, its got nothing to do with fat, its a height issue (my head touches the roof
my main problem with the stock chair is that there isnt any support for ones back, i push against the door with my right leg and the centre consol with my left. that keeps the lower half in check but there is nothing up top
as Sim said, its the shoulder width.. well for me they arent high or wide enough up top.. note that loosing weight will not bring my shoulders closer together

Yeah I'd put my money on a seat made from America or Australia. What about those brand name Drift seats. They're Aussie ones, I just can't find any details on dimensions though.
