Once the car was on the stands we started to remove the diff housing.
The rear sway bar will need to be unbolted from the chassis for access to the rear diff mounts.

We first removed the bolts on each side of the side shafts.

Then the tailshaft.

We had to put the car into neutral and handbrake off to rotate the shafts to get access to the bolts.
Then the rear mounts. (My bushes are starting to crack)

Last was the top mounts to the chassis.

Once these bolts are off we placed the trolley jack under the diff and slower lowered it down.
Bushes from the inside.

The housing is off.

Drain plug with chunks of open diff on it.

Crack open the housing to reveal an open wheeler - B01B.

Tap out the side gears with a hammer and bar. Notice the difference in length of the side gears
Open on the left and torsen on the right.

We then used a bar to push out the centre through one of the side holes.

Once the centre was out we needed to remove the crown.
For this we needed to find a vice to hold the centre so we could remove the bolts holding the crown.
The metal shims need to be bent out to access the bolts.
Once the bolts were removed we used a hammer and blunt end screwdriver to hammer the crown out through the bolt holes.
Once the crown was loose we used a flathead screwdriver to pry it out.

Both the crown and pinion have the ratio stamped on it.

Put the crown onto the torsen diff, use a torque wrench to bolt it on with the right specs.
Torsen Diff with 3.9 ratio ready to go back into housing.

Pop the centre back into housing, hammer the side gears in, apply a layer of copper silicon on the case and bolt back on.
Fill it up with 1.3L of gear oil and do the reverse to put it back on the car.
