finally here are some engine bay pics! i'll take exterior shots after the brake install and a good carwash =)



here you can see the madness of the Skyline IAC system. its retarded - has a separate regular IAC and a coldstart solenoid however both feed into the same hole. the solenoid must be plumbed into the chargepipe and not open air because they are known to leak boost.... i hate nissan.



c's shifter with TRD knob. i also got a shifter extension to raise it up about 2" from stock. shifts at this height are nice and easy and my hand doesn't have to move as far down for shifts. "shortened" shifters FTL!



i still love the look of the weld cover every time i look at it =)

im still pretty new on the JZ scene so forgive me if this is obvious, but, if you were going to spend the extra dollar on getting the engine out of the JZX110 why didnt you just opt for the 2J as far as i know you get the bang for buck advantage and wouldnt it be a straight fit as well?

the motor itself was pretty cheap. much cheaper than a 2JZ from an aristo. Plus i wanted the novelty of having one of the few 1JZGTE VVTi IS300's in the world. There are a couple more out there but none that i know are making this sort of power. i dynoed at 399.4rwhp on 91 octane. i'm hoping for 450 on racegas.

Looks nice man.... what is the difference between 3076 and 3082? Does yours have a smaller compressor wheel?

And why the need for Skyline idle control? Is that because of the EMS?
