I ended up using the metra 70-8112 today-was around $10 on eBay from America. Did the job - worked a treat- no engine feedback speakers sound the same as they did with the factoryhead unit. All in all a 20 minute job!!highly recomend this-although If ou are going to buy a headunit-make sure it has 3 sets or RCA out puts. One for front, one for rear and the last you can use to run a sub out to the boot if you like. Shoulda taken photos in hindsight!

hey i followed dropbears instructions but im having some difficulty as my radio works fine but i cant listen to cd's or aux both appear to be working on the headunit but im getting no sound using those functions btw i had the tv/sat nav with factory amp. make sense to anyone??

i know, i have the same problem at the moment, could actually be my head unit though, since its a dvd , need to hack it so i can play with out the hand brake.

but aux and usb work but no sound either :S
dvd works but no video :S

might have to go get it professionally looked at.

did you have the sat nav too? and do u mean yur radios working but nothing else?? im taking mine to northfield this arvo to see what they can make of it. I went to wow the other day and told them my problem and they tried to tell me i had hooked up my electric aerial cable instead of my remote to the amp turn on :S

mmm i had a sat nav aswell... but radio works fine, think it could be the headunit itself.

sounds like you did what i did...
turns out i had my power antenna wire(used to make the antenna rise when u switch it to radio) hooked up too my amp turn on wire instead of the remote wire everything is working sweet now. the remote cable had never been used on my head unit my mate had been using his power antenna wire to run his amps dont understand why he didnt have the same problem but any how, thats most likely your problem and not your headunit itself...

i have wired my dvd player up exactly like above yet my speakers work sometimes then sometimes nothing at all..

any reason?

you really need RCA plugs? why not just wire all the grounds together and run the positives to the speakers itself? should work =\
