Ok guys, I've kept this on the low down for long enough.
Thought I'd reveal the progress of my conversion of my 1jz auto to a 2jz manual.
The setup is a

Garret GT3582 single turbo (aka GT3540, GT35R)
R154 manual from a JZX90[/indent]

The car is now at the exhaust shop getting a full 3" exhaust, the other half of the intercooler pipes, intake pipe and box, custom surge tank and fuel pump setup and other little bits and bobs that I need done.

exact as what im building . just waiting on some injectors and then ill be bolting it all into my ride over the next month or so .. very nice .. have to let us know how u go with power runs

It's been at the exhaust shop for a month and a half now. It's probably going to be another month before I get it back. I'm expecting to get my LT12S and X6 box from Microtech this week.

As I mentioned to mxracer in a pm based on my mates 2jz setup in his supra I'm expecting around the 400rwhp mark on the dot or a bit more. I am basically replicating their setup except he has a t04z on his, slightly bigger injectors and he made 440rwhp at 18psi.

Just like to also mention that this build has resulted in my shed filling up with heaps of spare 2j and 1j parts so send me a msg if you want something.
Some things I have are coils, harness, ecu, ignitor all from the 2j. I've got spare 1j parts from a recked soarer like a complete head. Also I have the full 1jz engine/transmission package from my car with everything.

i got a friend with a 1jz pulling 386rwkw (520ish hp) on a 3540, but thats 1.06 housing on 24psi.... what housing u got on ur turbo

Went for the 0.82 size to keep the spool up earlier. I wanted my car to be more street orientated. I'm a bit of a hater of turbo lag. My mates 2j setup that I mentioned before (with the t04z) comes on full boost just after 4000rpm and thats sort of the limits of the lag I wanted to experience. I've heard of people's 1js with GT3540 (1.06 housings) and t04z's (0.82 housings) not hitting full boost until 5000rpm so that caused me to lean towards the smaller housing on mine.
