This obviously involves removing the coil-packs to get to the plugs. The leads and plastic
clips/plugs on the coil-packs tend to get quite brittle with age and heat. The more you have
to bend and twist them, like when removing them to get to the plugs, the more likely they are
to break.
Personally I'm happy doing a little net shopping, buying a set of irridiums, and then just replacing
them every 50,000km. Cost is about the same as 10 sets of copper plugs, and less hassle.
Just something to keep in mind anyway.

Also, every time I pull the plugs I do a bit of preventative maintenance and Silicon spray the fcuk out of my leads to keep them nice and nubile
Whatever you wanna do, as long as you get the right plugs for your intended use/application you can't go wrong...

then why would you????
I understand, and semi agree with you in principal that the
shear ginning around factor is worth $ alone, but at 10 times the
cost of a copper plug NO WAY.
The plugs are way to easy to change to warrant this.
Also tell your supplier to sharpen his pencil abit, as that price is
a bit over the top.
As stated, I have Denso platinums in my car and they have gone
24000 without probs.
At $10 (trade) that's OK isn't it?
Next time (I now have fmic/split dump 3" zorst, EBC),
I might go el cheapo coppers.

I bought some oil and filter for a service and I bought plugs as well.
However, I bought the NGK-R as per the part number in the maintenance guide. These are single tips.
In my owners manual, and under my bonnet, there are pics of a single tip with a cross through it and a twin tip circled.
I'm very confused as to what plugs I should be using.
I was out sat and sun and couldn't find any twin tips.
I found quad tips from Bosch but I have heard that too many tips could help lean out the engine?????
Can anyone help me at all?
Thanks

That being said, its still completely stock... I'm not too savvy on what sort of difference twin VS single would make to a modified engine?
