What sort of tyres are people running on their chasers.
Sizes and brand and any feedback would be good, as im looking at some bridgestones Re001 but only in a 235/40r18 on the rear. Though i have 265 cheap shit tyres atm on there.
would there be any loss on the smaller width or a bigger gain with the quality tyres.

I've heard good things about the RE001's. Don't bother with the RE050's and other bridgestones they're crap.

Personally I use Federal SS595's purely because they're cheap and I don't mind burning up a set every 6mths or so. Grip is pretty good too but they're a bit noisy.

The Adrenalins are a kick arse tyre, very impressive.

They are available in 265/35r18, so you can reshod in the same size if you want.

Price difference between 235/40r18 & 265/35r18 is quite a bit tho...

If you currently have indonesian or chinese tyres, the grippier Adrenalins in
235/40r18 will be an improvement.

I have just replaced my Firenza ST03s with some neutons, made in indonesia.'

Main reason being BUDGET, they are bloody cheap, but not in a CLEAR kind of way

My missus "drives" the car most of the time, and I doubt she ever gets it
into positive boost.

I have some Fullrun tyres on the rear and in the wet on a low damper setting with the coils, the rear slides everywhere with out trying. Which can be annoying at times.

I have been quoted about $350 a tyre in 235/40 r18.
How much are the 265/35 r18 supposed to retail for.

Any other tyres at a decent price and good wet grip that anyone can suggest.

Here's a quote I got from my local Bob Jane today if it helps.... the two sizes either side of what you are after.....

Quote

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to quote on your Tyre requirements.

The following prices include fitting & balancing.

Maxxis 225/40/18 $239.00 245/40/18 $283.00
Michelin PP2 $395.00 & $385.00
Pirelli PZROSSO $475.00 & $530.00
Yokohama V103 $385.00 & $445.00
Bridgestone Adrenalin $375.00 & $400.00

Pretty sure Toyos are available cheaper than just about everything there except the Maxxis?

man those prices are dear

for bridgestone re001 i wouldnt be paying any more than $190 a trye

i run re040 at the mo mint on the track ( they look pox as but are very very grippy ), but my suppler dosnt stock them anymore so im changing to advans sports for $200nzd

if i couldnt get neither of the above i would change back to toyos with out a doubt

them or dunlop derrizas
