i have a greddy profec b spec II for my drift s13 and its very simple to set up and works really well!
my jzx90 came with AVC-R and ive heard nothing but great things about teh AVC-R but it takes alot of time o get it to work right.
basically if you want something simple get profec b spec 2 which is easy on the pocket book.
if you have more money and want more out of a boost controller you cant go wrong with the AVC-R
just my 2 cents

ive had a profec b in my old r32. worked real well easy to tune and cheap. mate had an e-boost 2 which was awesome as well, held boost solid as whole way to redline.

If you have the cash the latest HKS EVC is the way to go. Easily the best boost controller on the marker but is around the $600 mark last time i checked!

Next best is the Blitz SBC Spec-R with the dual solenoid. They arent that pretty (quarter din size like a turbo timer) but they are extremely good.

I've got a Profec B spec II sitting on the shelf waiting to go into my Chaser. I had it in the VR4 Galant I sold recently and it was very good on that.
Also got the matching GReddy "Full Auto Timer" to fit as well.
Nice solid boost control and the "start boost" feature helped the 4G63 spool about 500rpm earlier than stock.
Be interesting to see how it goes on the 1JZ. Think I will have to do something to tame that damn ECU controlled BOV but. That thing sounds like the work of SATAN!!
Will report on how it all goes.

Blitz SBC-iD has consistently been the best controller on the market for quite some time. make sure you get the dual solenoid version especially if you're running higher boost. having dual solenoids allows each solenoid to run at a lower duty cycle which is important especially if your WG spring isn't very stiff.

Well, fitted the ProfecB today and it is just as good here as it was on the 4G63 in the Galant,
If you have money to throw around, there may be controllers out there that are SLIGHTLY better, but for the money these things are da bomb.

I'm (attempting) to install the PFC boost control kit, and I'm a bit vague on what to do with the "NC" connection. I can't find an online manual for the BCK to translate either, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

I'm searching around trying to find the best value controller at the moment, and was wondering what you guys are using? or would use/want.
I'm leaning towards an Apex'i AVC-R(black edition) at the moment.I haven't read anything negative about them, and they seem to be quite good value for money.
The Blitz Dual-SBC Spec R also sound good, and gets good reviews.
I'm wanting to eventually run quite high boost,so I want one to hold at least 22psi(using td06-25g or gt3040 turbo).
I'm looking to spend around $500(600 at the most) NZD for one.

I just bought a Apex'i AVC-R(black edition) from a friend that had it in a WRX-STI and he said it works great!! I'm going to install it in my 97 Chaser tourer V, does anyone have the cpu pin layout???

The boost controller in the Power FC cannot control gain, making it inferior to the AVC-R.
