I noticed on the X90/100s when people install full size intercoolers they remove the steel bumper beam behind the cover.

Is there an aftermarket intercooler I can mount without removing or cutting up the impact beam? Id like to leave that in for safety.

Ive been in an accident at 35 mph / 56 kph which isnt that fast, and seen how easily a car folds up.

most of the kits can be custom mounted/adjusted to fit fine without removing that bar but you will most likely have to trim the vertical bonnet latch support and the front of the chassis section lip for pipe clearance

it all comes down to how you fit it eg spacing it back and re drilling mounts ect

I used the HPI front mount on my old 100, managed to get it behind the reo but the bottom where the inlet / outlet are you will need to either cut the tabs or bash them with a hammer.....

I also ended up putting on the "headlight brace" bar, which bolts on where the reo used to sit to give more front end stiffness and also a bit of protections, then you can run whatever cooler you want!
