Hi all
Just getting ideas for a subwoofer box
would love to get 2 12' in there
A sub box u get at JB or wherever would just eat up the whole boot so thats out of the question.
So any one with a semi custom installlation? and pics?
and since the petrol tank separates the cabin from the boot, would it be more muted?

Just about to do the excercise myself. (Don't have any pics except of an empty boot!!!)
Have ordered 2x 12" subs - gonna sacrifice the spare though, so it may not suite you.
Have worked out that the central tub that holds the spare, built up to the "rails", should hold about 68 litres or 2.4 cu ft which should be good for a pair of 12"s. By building this up another 80mm and creating a false floor that same area would be approximately 113 litres or 3.99 cu ft enough to fit a single 15".
Obvisouly my subs will be firing straight up into the boot lid. (I'll be installing Dynamat throughout)
I'm hoping the sound will be alright, but surely someone on here would have actual experience.

I only have a single 12".. and will be side mounting it.. least sacrifice of space.. and the most durability for capacity.. The fuel tank wont make any noticable difference.. not enough to make a fuss over anyway..

nice setup, what i was thinking of doing is getting a slimline 8" sub in the parcel shelf and get a couple of amps - one to replace the factory one and run the speakers and the other to run the sub. this way i wont have to sacrifice any of the limited space in the boot.

I'm thinking the same as billy boy, but going with a 10" sub, slightly better sounding with it's own amp. Would I have to re-inforce the parcel shelf to handle the doof?

hrmm some interesting ideas.
i'll take out the boot trim tomorrow and see how much depth there is
or else side mount is the go...
is the enough room to fit a 10' in the stock 8' spot?

I haven't had a look, but surely a spacer or mdf ring will be enough to fit the larger speaker.
Might have a look at it on the weekend.

I think the Soarer has a 10" in their back shelf? I thought ours would've been the same....
