Asked a sparky to install remote locking on my JZX90. He tried for an hour and gave up.

Anyone know how this can be done?

Current setup is to open car with key and then open other doors with button on armrest.

There is no way to remotely unlock all the doors at once on these cars. What some people have done is fit an aftermarket actuator to the drivers door to at least get it to remotely unlock.

maybe some did? my tourer V didnt. only the button on the armrest. But not from outside. But maybe the Grande's and others have it.

Wolfie from the UK has a tourer V x90 and his is just like mine. he had to get an aftermarket actuator fitted and thats where I got the advice from.

I dont know what the armrest button is.

Not remote central locking, just central locking.

Button on armrest by driver, to unlock or lock all the doors, from inside the car. Yes that is central locking. But the thread is about remote locking which is using a remote with buttons (like your tv remote but smaller) to lock or unlock the car. If the car didnt have this from factory then it is impossible to install it. Apart from an aftermarket actuator to just do the driver's door remotely.

Hope that makes sense.

If it has central locking shouldnt the drivers door (and the others) already have actuators?

When I got my alarm, the central locking button on the drivers door wouldn't work with the alarm.

I now have to use the remote if I want to lock the doors instead of the buttons on the drivers door.
