like the title says it'll die while driving. Not 100% sure if the Engine goes silent but no throttle response tach reads 0 but I still have radio and all my lights. It happens for like a sec or two while I'm rolling (driving around 60-80) then everything will power back up like nothing happened. Any suggestions?

I only let it happen twice before I pulled over and parked it

Bad power cable?
Main power relays?

Is this only cluster or whole car related? I didnt really get the whole fault diagnosis.

Bmw's(sorry) have a cluster condensator fault that resets the gauges for a few secs and then springs back to life, but never heard of Yota having such problems

Had exact same problem with a loose battery terminal. If the battery terminal has a build up of white crap it may not make a good connection. If you start the car and then disconnect the battery the car will run for a while and then randomly stop. If you are moving when this happens the car will roll start itself since ignition is in 'on' and most likely in gear. If it does this at idle it will just stop. Try idle the car and turn the aircon on. Big current draw made it more likely to happen from memory.

If you find that the tacho jumps around a bit while it's playing up then that can be an indication that the igniter is going bad too.

Just and idea
