Guys,
I have just ordered a JZX100 through an importer(how is highly recommendable if anybody wants details PM me)
And I noticed it has the factory screen head unit installed. Does anybody have these? Is it easy enough to be able to tune aust TV stations and are they multi format for play back of discs?

CD player = yes
tv and gps = yes but wont work in Aus (think one of the soarer guys figured out a way but cost as much as a brand new pioneer unit that can do everything and more.)
dvd = no not at all

My tv only picked up the audio on like 1 channel, think was ch7, however you wont get picture because of the NTCS/PAL thing.

Only postive really is you have a pretty cool looking factory CD player.
Aw and you can switch to the gps screen u will probably find yourself sitting in the ocean just of the coast of japan.

you can adapt an after market system if you want to use the stock screen, useful for in car navigation.

I have one in mine, but the CD player doesn't work, not happy...............screen is ok, but stll in NTSC format so useless

Hi fellas, i'm reviving this thread because i'm interested in keeping my factory TV unit and getting the channels to work.
Like mentioned above, at the moment, the only channel it picks up is channel 7, which is cool, but there's no picture.

I don't mind if it'll cost me to do a conversion as i'd prefer to keep the OEM Toyota head unit instead of having a or cheap Chinese Ebay aftermarket one.

If anyone has any information on how to get the TV to work here in Australia, please help

I wouldnt bother dimi.. I remember reading somewhere it cost almost 2grand to get it working in Australia.. in the end its not worth it imo. you could probably get a diff toyota or lexus navigation screen and get that working in there somehow lol..

i'm more interested in connecting a dvd stacker to play dvds rather than tv.

not sure if anyone has connected an after market dvd stacker. ...i'm missing the cartridge and im not sure if the original stacker played dvds...

I found this dude on Planet Soarer from ACT and another guy from Melbourne who can do the conversions for $500 on Soarer tellies. I'm not sure if they can do them on ours, though.
I've emailed them and asked if it's possible. Just waiting for a response.

For two grand you can get this,which I will be getting soon it the ECLIPSE AVN726EA you get dvd/cd,naviagation,traffic report thing,i think you get a tv for it as well
