Its been a long time coming, but ive eventually got off my ass and have now been tinkering in the garage fabricating some jzx100 chassis braces.
At this point in time there are 3 types of braces available, however more may be available in the soon future (watch this space). The 3 braces on offer so far are:
Diff Brace -
This brace is used to brace the 2 rear diff cradle bushes and stop any flex. It curves around the spare wheel tub and is tucked up near the floorpan. Installation requires the removal of the 2 swaybar bush cradles (the ones that go around the swaybar, not the end-links) to be able to swing it down and allow enough access to install the brace; once installed, the swaybar can then be swung back up and bolted back on. All stock bolts/nuts are retained.
(The brace was coloured as per customers request)

Front Reo Brace -
This brace has been made to replace the factory reinforcement bar at the front of the chassis that so commonly has to be removed to fit an aftermarket front mount intercooler. It bolts into the factory spot, however it has been fabricated to bend around the top of the intercooler for universal fitment. This brace is used for both safety purposes (interlocking the two chassis rails to help in a front collision instead of just slicing straight through to the motor) and also to aid front chassis ridgidity. The factory bolts are used for installation.

Boot Brace -
As per the name, this brace interlocks 4 points within the boot of the jzx for added strength and ridgidity. Many people who have installed rear strut braces will be able to tell you about all the creaks and groans they get from the rear of the car flexing.
It is designed to use the stock bolt location points within the boot and curve around the fuel tank. The installation of this brace requires the left and right rear seatbelt retractor bolts to be replaced with longer ones (can be provided) to allow enough thread underneath in the boot for the brace to bolt up to; this means the rear seats will have to be removed to allow access under the parcel shelf (dont fret, this is well documented throughout the forum and a reasonably easy task to do).

All the above braces use quality material; in comparison to other similar big named brand braces out there, the reinfocment bars I use are 2.5mm thick as opposed to the 1.5-2mm light gauge material used; this allows for a much stronger and ridgid connection.

Prices are as follows:
Diff Brace - $150.00
Front Reo Brace - $200.00
Boot Brace - $350.00
+ postage to the buyer.
I am not a boilermaker or welder by trade, I simply want to offer the jzx community the oppertunity to help modify their cars by doing something I enjoy that also provides you with a product at a reasonable price. All of the braces come with a money back/replacement guartentee for fitment and structural purposes; however i think you will be quite happy with the product you receive.
Please PM me for all enquiries.
Cheers, Joe
Quality pictures of the braces coming very soon!!
