DIRECTIONS FOR USE (SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE)
- Warm the engine to normal operating temperature.
- With ignition turned OFF remove convenient vacuum hose from intake manifold and spray approximately half the can into the manifold using the nozzle tube supplied with this can.
- Allow the engine to stand for 5 minutes.
- Start the engine and run fast enough to prevent stalling while spraying the remainder of the can into the manifold.
- Stop the engine as the can empties and allow to stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Restart the engine and rev engine to purge any remaining foam.
- Reinstall the vacuum hose.
- Road test vehicle to ensure good performance.
- Extremely dirty systems may require a re-application.
All pretty easy and self explanatory.
As for the vacuum line to use, below are a couple pics of the one I sprayed into. It's located at the rear of the intake manifold and is normally just capped off.

6 downloadsThe only other thing I can mention is that when I first tried this on my '01 Corolla I revved it a little too hard while spraying the UEC into the manifold. The result was that not as much of the foam entered the combustion chambers IMHO and only a little bit of smoke was produced. With the Chaser, I was able to keep the revs a lot lower (800 - 1000rpm) and hence I think the foam had a better chance to get into the combustion chambers and ended up working a little better.
When the engine is running and you are spraying the UEC into the mani, the car will hunt around, the automatic reaction is to rev it, but instead, keep the revs as low as you can without stalling.
Also, remember to do this in a well ventilated area, do not do it in your garage and do not breath in the vapors
I have no empirical evidence as to the effectiveness of this product but my bum dyno has certainly noticed a difference IMHO. Idle is much smoother, even more so than after simply cleaning the ISCV. Acceleration is also smoother and less strained. As for fuel consumption, time will tell. For sub $20 it's a good bit of fun, especially if you can engulf your neighborhood in thick white smelly smoke
Oh, the only other thing that I've been able to determine from my research is that it's probably a good idea to run this treatment through your engine before an oil change rather than after. Something to do with the possibility of this stuff getting past the rings and into the oil and contaminating it.
I figured if the dealers are willing to put this (Subaru UEC) in their customers cars it either does fuck all and they're just scamming money off them or it's pretty safe to use
BTW, there's also a similar product from Threebond available and only costs around $11 but I haven't tried it.
