First thing to do is remove the gear knob. Then get a small flathead screw driver and put it in the bottom corner of the red gearbox cover. I used 2 flat heads, 1 thin one to lift the platic up enough to get the big one in and pop the clip up. There are 2 clips, one on either side. Be careful not to scratch the shiney red plastic.

Once you lift the cover up the silver surround will come off with it. Now unplug the snow mode switch from the back. then take the plastic trim off. Next is the ash tray/ciggie lighter section. Pull the Ash tray out and the light and put your fingers in and pull towards you, there are 2 clips holding them in. You may want to pull one side at a time.

Disconnect the lights, they are simple male/female connectors you push in. Mine were all in very good condition and i didn't break any. Next you have to take the facial piece above the stereo out. To do this you need to use a thin flathead screwdriver. You have to be gentle not to ruin the plastic trim. Jam it in, it takes a little bit of force, and once the tip is in far enough use the leverage to pop the clip. Do this on both side.

You can see how i scratched the plastic up a little.

Unplug those electrical clips and place the trim down. There are now just 2 screws top and 2 screw on the bottom and the whole stereo will come out.

As for the FM modulator i found an accessory wire so the box drops power when ignition is off.

All installed!

WOOT! Radio again!!
Now just put everything back in the reverse order and you win!
Thanks to Neil for the FM Modulator!!! HOOO!!
