I am installing a boost controller i have the directions i just have one question does the 1jz have a turbo vacuum switching valve to disable . And what steps do you guys recommend i have a boost controller like this

but i turn the controller and my boost doesn't increase.

Make sure you have the lines plumbed up correctly (in the direction of the arrows), I'm thinking one is around the wrong way.

No standard boost controller of the normal type, but the ecu plays around with the BOV to roughly the same effect.

well my turbo is done for so car will be down for a while, sad there is a drag race event coming up in Feburary

Your turbo died? how much boost did you screw into it? do you have a boost gauge?. You can get a second hand turbo off here or look online i know of two for sale,should get to carribien before feburary, there going for around Aus $300.
