Hey guys i saw a few pics with chasers with angel eyes that looked so sweet i want to do that i have seen the ccfl led on ebay my question is how do open the headlamp and does anyone no the diameter of the some wat circles around the low and hi beams in the head lamp if i get instructions on how to open it that would be good to so i can measure myself. Or if some one can post a DIY to angel eyes

Normally to open up the headlights you chuck them in the oven on VERY low heat until the glue holding the clear front plastic starts to soften. Then you slowly try to pry them apart little by little putting them back in the oven if need be to soften some more.

If the oven method sounds too scary, use a heat gun (or your boyfriends hair drier) to soften the glue around the headlight.

As for CCFL ring sizes, I believe the Chaser kits on Yahoo Japan use 123mm rings for both hi and lo beam.

In those pics its not completely round can you get them like that?

Just get a CCFL tube and apply some slight heat and you can bend them.

thanks guys i was actually going to just put the biggest complete circle in the head lights like in the last pic. But using a heat gun to bend the ccfl sparks interest and well money that i will waste since i doubt i will get it right on the first 3 goes lol. I will let you guys know how it goes, if i am back asking for head lights then well it didnt go that well lol

I recently bought a slightly damaged set of headlights for $150 Going to be doing the same thing but also installing projectors let us know how you went with opening the lights up
