What happens when u floor it in first gear? does it sound like its hitting the limiter or does it rev then just cut power? it almost sounds like the car is always in snow mode!

the coil packs are fine ,
it acts the same with brand new super spark coil packs
before the problem occurred it had the superspark coils installed , popping the factory coils back in made no difference
been testing alot of coils lately

we are not running a cat ,
the way the exhaust system is free flowing , the exhaust wheel should spit out the back

when i floor it ,
driving feels like someone is strangling the poor girl , no power & flat , will not rev out what so ever
reving it while parked up sounds like it is struggling , maxing out at 5,000 - 6,000 rpm , 6,000 is a real effort
i cannot hit the limiter , its not miss firing or hitting any type of boost/fuel cut
it also feels like the ECU is retarding the ignition because theres something wrong
you mentioned snow mode , how is this activated ?
i understand the traction control button, never seen snow mode .....
better investigate this

hi guys
good some good news
fitted the new crank angle sensor
fired her up ,
the engine warning light has stopped giving me " 13 " , which is a good start
it still was struggling but sounding better
had a after thought on the strangling theory tonight,
so i removed the rubber pipe after the turbo that goes to intercooler piping
gave her a test , the engine still was struggling ,
so i removed the rubber pipe from the intercooling system that attaches to the intake manifold
gave her a test ,
F### me , it started reving really nicely , it was free again
started thinking something must be in the intercooler piping
so ripped off all the piping , looked inside the intercooler ,
WTF found a nice piece of plastic blocking up all the intercooler holes .......
thats the same piece of plastic that come with the new hose i brought the other day ,
it must of dropped or sucked itself inside the inlet piping when i had all the piping off the turbo to install the hoses for the boost controller
not sure how , had a rag in there
lesson to be learn't never leave plastic bags / wrapping in engine bay while testing the car !!
i am sure it will be ok
we will test her tomorrow and hook up the boost controller for some tuning
its ganna be a fun day...

hi guys
got some testing done last night , f##k it was so cold,
it was like 0 - 2 deg in nagoya last night,
the engine was so pumping , it felt so good it was incredible
easily lighting the wheels in 1st and 2nd under power ,
we set the boost controller at its lowest point of 10% duty cycle , this let her boost to 1.09 bar
adjusted the FCD to 4.56 volts , she was so sweet
the engine is so responsive now,
when we originally got her going , it was such a pig missing and farting , with flat power
these things below don't seem like much ,
they all made a huge difference to how its running now compared to what it was running like before
255ltr fuel pump
new fuel filter
new crank angle sensor
boost controller
superspark coils
denso iridium spark plugs ( IK20 ) gapped to .27
no catalic conveter
last night we were out till 4am this morning hanging out with the locals at the port who were drifting
we got a few comments on how the car was running , a few of the 1jz boyz were impressed ( i was not drifting )
i still can't believe how well she is running
when a 1jz is screaming it sounds so good , so lovin this shit
