interested in knowing why you chose a low offset & stretched tyre combo for "grip/time attack"? I'm no expert but your comments make no sense to me. You want grip so you're dialling in camber to drive on the inner sidwalls in the hope that it stops wearing away the outer sidewalls when you leaning hard on it?
I'm not being a smartarse, this is just not a setup and promotes grip at all as far as i know?
I honestly didn't have a choice of wheel sizes at the time, it was a straight swap for a set of 34gtr wheels I couldn't turn down and I'm simply just working with what I've got at the moment.
And tyre selection was due to the fact I couldn't fit anything wider underneath. Again, just working with what I've got.
As for camber settings, exactly what you're saying. I [was wanting to] increase camber which sacrifices straight line grip but 'should' give me more corner grip. I'm currently only running standard turbo and basic mods, I can't lose traction in a straight line unless I'm taking off from 1st gear lol
I'm no pro.. Since that post, I've actually noticed that negative 3 degrees camber is spot on. Adjusting tyre pressures during the last track day has improved tyre wear and grip all round.
