Hi guys, going to do some upgrade to my car, got some questions regarding cams and springs.
- should i get the HKS Vvt cam and the exhaust cam? I got a power fc already which will be able to control/adjust the vcam.
- Did some research, some ppl saying that changing cams will lost some of low-mid range power and torque, is it true? What is the major benefit if going for the HKS cams?
- what combination should i go for? pair 264 or 264/272?
- Does HKS do uprated valve spring? Couldnt find it on their website.
Thanks
Dave

Hey Dave, I can't comment on the low end side of things as I have a big single. But that being said I gained an extra 500rpm in spool time with the cams, which is huge!
And to compare power output with the difference in cams and no cams, I sold my turbo to a good mate he was making full boost at 5000rpm and 280rwkw on 18psi. I was making full boost at 4500rpm and 307rwkw on 17psi. I know tune makes a big difference but that all can't be tune!
It's completely up to you what sized cams you get, but I'm quite content with my 264/264
In regards to your uprated valve springs, hit up Brian Crower, they do a package deal for them all and I think they are fairly cheap.

its only neccesary if you are going big single otherwise think you'll out flow the std rear turbo housing
but the loss down low is very minor , and they actually make the car nicer to cruise at low load/revs
and yeah before cams and valve springs i made 265rwkw on 20psi , after made 315rwkw on 19psi same dyno

Not really a big single but going with a GTX3076 with 6Boost manifold in twin scroll set up.
The only concern is losing torque and power in low-mid range.
