that's true, off the shelf parts to retain the VVTi will be the HKS one and i think only they do the v cam.
you can get 2JZ vvt cam to make them fit to 1j but not really sure.
And i thought 1j and 2j uses the same cam lol.

Hey guys In 264, ex 272 is works on 1JZGTE(VVTi) without any problem and don't need spring valve? With ct15

The 272 side of things could use some springs just to he sure but 264 doesn't really need them.

But, why not just do them anyway while the cams are out.

better off replacing springs+stem seals too while cams are out, imagine how many times they have been compressed in the 13odd years

and what are you aiming for with cams but std turbo? not really goin to achieve much in my opinion

Iv sent them an email asking a quote so hopefully we'll know tomorrow

Shipping is 188 however it's a 5 month backorder wait for hks to manufactor any more intake cams, they've put me onto Titan Motorsport so I'm waiting for a quote from them

Titan get their own cams ground and do 2J VVTi as well so shouldn't be too hard for them to come up with 1J VVTi gear, especially since demand seems to be there.
