After some deliberation between Haltech and PFC.. i decided to go PFC since it is cheaper and can achieve what i want for the budget i am after. Other money i will spend on supporting mods.
Now... i am able to get a PFC for manual box jzx100 from streeter at a good price, but my concern is who in Sydney can tune PFC with specific knowledge on jxz100s and 1jz's with vvti. I did some search but i can't find any info on good tuners in Sydney... alot of recommendations comes for Nissans from what i can see.
I been reading some threads here with people saying PFC doesn't have knock control only a warning system and that a good tuner can manually set this to a safe setting etc etc. Also i read that PFC has a disease when using AFM regarding fuel mix getting messed up and to fix it requires using dJetro MAP, but this requires a knowledgeable tuner...
So can anyone recommend any or personal experiences? I have spoken to a couple workshops which all say they can do PFC, but whether they know it specifically for our engines, i am not sure. It is a BIG decision as I would really depend on this tuner for my engine health.
Thanks in advanced.

JEM and Hitman have both done JZX100s before. All the tuners I spoke to last year were willing to do the job but you'd want them to have some experience with VVTi, which is why I drove to Queanbeyan to get a tune

Yeah i spoke to HITMAN and he answered all my questions. I spoke to him initially because i was looking into a Haltech, but he says a PFC should be sufficient for my application unless i want to spend ~3k and had big plans. He did say he can tune a PFC and has tuned 1jz's previously.
I haven't looked into JEM yet.
Which tuner from Queanbeyan are you referring to?

ESP Racing. Tunes heaps of street Toyotas, tuned my JZX and at least one other that I know of, both of us are happy with the work done.

I'm thinking of a PFC though am unsure where I would get it tuned.
I might try and search the Supra or Soarer forums to see who they use though must keep in mind the VVTI as most Supras and Soarers wouldn't have the VVTI.

Full tune for an emanage ultimate. Not sure if a full ECU would cost more. Mine included a fair bit if fucking around with the anti-stall settings to make it as streetable as possible.
