In the search of trying to fit my Power FC and understand what is necessary to do so, I've come across a few handy links on the net. JZX100 ECUs are in the centre console behind the audio and climate controls. To get these, you will have to remove the glovebox and surrounds + the centre console. Here some guides to get you through it without breaking anything (hopefully )

God damn it!! I need to check what ECU's in my car as it appears to have no speed limit.
I thought I'd found the perfect thread so I don't go busting off bit's of trim everywhere, but those links no longer work! .

Can anyone tell me how to go about taking the centre console and glove box out?

From memory.
Gear boot just pulls off. Unclip TRC and snow plugs.
Im pretty sure the fake carbon cover that goes over the a/c and radio just pops off. Mine needed a good pull.
unclip the black kick panel under the glove box theres a couple of screws under there and 3 or 4 at the top where the latch is. unplug the light and you should be right.
I've probably missed a couple of things but just keep undoing stuff till you achieve the desired results.

if you are changing the computer, then all you need to do is remove glove box, and you will be able to remove computer without removing the center console!!

very ez to do, a few + screws, 4-5 pop screws, and 2-3 (10mm) bolts on the computer

Is it "above" the glove box? I was helping a mate with his GA70 on the weekend, that is where his ECU is mounted.

its underneith the climate control stereo area, can def get to it buy removing the glovebox.

I want to check what ECU I have in the car as it appears to have no speed limit. I also have a DVD TFT thing to go in the centre consol.

where can I locate the ECU in the JZX90 MarkII?
I'm fitting a SAFC Neo and RSM soon, and need to locate the ECU.

Kenji, as psikazi wrote in the shoutbox.

directly under the cd unit basically...

take off both side panels at the bottom and take out the cd player and u can get to it there.

got my PFC today, installing was a breeze
but, how did u guys mount urs? it doesn't have screw holes so u can't use the original brackets

howd u guys secure it?
