As mentioned in an earlier post I have this setup except with a gtx3076 (6boost mani, twin scroll, twin compgate 40's), however I'm still waiting to get my car back, should be tuned this week, just waiting on manifold back from ceramic coating. Different size turbo but my results should give some indication of the benefits (if any) when compared to single scroll gt3076 setups. I will post results as soon as I have my car back, the wait is killing me.

i spoke to my tuner today, and he said it would only matter if you were trying to run low boost. he said with the gtx35r you should run around the 20 psi mark before it starts really working so it shouldn't be necessary to run twin wastegates. i would still be interested to see if it makes it spool any quicker

I'm not big city lawyer, but it was explained to me that the "proper" way to run a twin scroll turbo was with twin gates? Otherwise zero point in running a twin scroll setup + split pulse mani etc.

yea i thought the same thing tats , as exhaust pulses can still interupt other half, obviously less that normal single setup

yes, yes it would. I'll ask if they can include a boost vs rpm graph when I get it tuned for comparison purposes.


As for the twin gates argument, I was under the same impression that it was the only way to take advantage of twin scroll. Yet 6boost offer a single gate version, weird.
In my discussions with Kyle though, he did state that in his experience the twin gates gave maybe 300rpm quicker spool over single gate option, however he never gave me any comparison against single scroll setups.
I have also heard that gtx turbos are better suited to twin scroll than single, but that may have been some random bs on another forum, I can't remember.

tell me tell me tell me, did the twin wastegates make a difference? by you just saying steal his thunder sounds like it went well. i bet it sounds so good on gate
