This is just a start but it should help you all out for now. I'll be adding a bunch more links and other info as soon as I get home tonight. :angry: Enjoy.These are just generic links and you can refine them further to suit your needs using the search function. For example, enter "jzx100" to get JZX100 specific parts etc. (no duh :angry: )

After refining the results using search you will lose the thumbs, so just look for this Jap text and click on it to get your thumbs back :angry:

More links....Please note, with the Defi gauges, some gauges are described (in Japanese) as "defi style" or "defi look" and are not actual Defi gauges but still show up with the above link.

Also, with the Defi gauges, the ones with a red lable on the box arre the ones with the red lights while the ones with the blue lable are the ones with the plain white lights.

If you plan on getting the Defi gauges you'll also need the controller to run them if you don't already have one. They sell some of the gauges as packages (1x water temp, 1x oil temp, 1x oil pressure, 1x boost & 1x controller) which is a great idea.

If you consider that localy each gauge will set you back, generally, +-$350 each plus around about +-$200 for the controller, at YEN76,500 (~$1040) for the pack it is a pretty damn good buy IMHO! (personally, I have all 6 gauges & controller 4 my Supra) :angry:

If there's anything else you guys would like me to find, if you can't, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Mark

A few answers....

No, you don't have to go through me. The links you see are part of a auction broker service which allows you to purchase from the Japanese Yahoo Auctions.
  • Simply, sign up with the Ok!shon broker service.
  • Then using PayPal, deposit funds to use for the auctions into your account.
  • Find the stuff you want and bid on it by entering the auction URL (address) into the broker service "bid" section of your account.
  • If you win the bid, the items get sent to the broker in Japan who then sends it onto you. Good eh? :(
I've used these and other broker services previously and this one seems the best and safest. Using PayPal to make transactions also adds a degree of security as I believe PayPal have dispute resolution procedures in place should something happen. AS well as, you have the security of PayPal rather than using your own CC ever time.

As for translation, I'm not sure if it's because I'm registered with the servise, BUT, at the top of the page is a menu item that says "TRANSLATE" :angry: Hit it, and another page will pop up with the yahoo auction you are currently viewing. The page will be translated with the Jap text above and the Engrish text below it :( Pretty cool! No more cut and paste!

On the broker site there is also a way (on the left menu somewhere) that you can work out exactly how much the item will ost you after all the shipping and fees are included. It returns the result in USD but it's easy enough to convert to AUD using www.xe.com

Note, certain items they will now ship as they are either too big or too heavy so read their FAQ etc. and you should be a pro in no time :D

One other quick note, if the combined cost (including shipping etc.) of the items you are buying exceeds $1K, customs will grab it until you pay 10% GST and you'll need a customs broker (~$170) to get it cleared. BUT, if you brake up the shippment and it's under $1K, no GST and it goes straight to your door :D

One more catch, if you make two different shippments to the same address and they both meet up in customs at the same time, their combined total value will be used to see if they exceed $1K. You can always send each package to a different address (mom, friend, GF etc.) and customs can't touch it if under $1K each :D :angry:

Good luck... and happy bidding!

P.S. I've personally purchased well over $2K worth of gear using this service without a problem :angry:

A couple more hints for finding stuff.

Good helpful info there.
I think its funny how the Japs use abbreviated words crammed together such as "ekimani" for Exhaust Manifold as you pointed out.

To translate you can also use any other translating service ie bablefish.
There's a wicked internet explorer called mozilla firefox, I believe its more powerfull than Microsofts one and has built in translater.

That's an awesome list of words, Mark. Thanks for those.

Here are a few extra super secret Japanese search words that I use

Xenon = キセノン
Series 1 (or literally previous term) = 前期
Series 2 (or literally latter term) =後期
Grille = グリル - different from the one Mark listed earlier, but they both seem to work when searching
Headlight = ヘッドライ (again, not sure, but the search works)
Blinker = ウインカー
Tourer = アラー or ツアラー? (not quite sure)
Avante = アバンテ

I can't speak a word of Japanese, so these could be wrong, but I tested them all and they worked.

transliterated:

Xenon = キセノン kisenon
Series 1 (or literally previous term) = 前期
Series 2 (or literally latter term) =後期
Grille = グリル - guriru
Headlight = ヘッドライ heddorai (truncated version of heddoraito)
Blinker = ウインカー uinkaa or winker
Tourer = アラー or ツアラー? araa which is part of tsuara
Avante = アバンテ abante

I like the way they say windscreen - furonto gurasu (front glass) and seatbelt - shito beruto
hehe you sit in your car and you are in the shito. You drive around all day in the shito. Its only when you leave your car that you get out of the shito and leave the shito behind. :)

Dont forget turbo - タービン or ターボ
and turbo kit - タービン キット
