if you want the hellaflush/baller look, about +25 at front and +30 rear with rolled guards. skinny tyres to peel them in. 225 fronts and 235 or 245 rears.

less than that and they will be hanging out the guards pretty hard!

I have 18x9, ET35 front and 18x10, ET38 rears, with 225-40 and 235-45 rubber. Rolled and slightly pulled fenders.

And these are 18x8, ET30 front and 18x9, ET35 rear. Same rubber sizes as above.

This is mine currently...

17 x 9 + 30

Stock guards, little manipulating, not much really though...
I'd like to put on 15mm spacer and roll/flare them properly.

18x9 + 39 - stock guards

It looks like your taillight isn't sitting properly in that last pic?

Mine are
Front 18x9.5 +22 225/40
(IMG:http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv290/S0unIQ/My%20JZX90%20Mark%20II/th_IMG_0333.jpg) (IMG:http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv290/S0unIQ/My%20JZX90%20Mark%20II/th_IMG_0334.jpg) (IMG:http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv290/S0unIQ/My%20JZX90%20Mark%20II/th_IMG_0335.jpg) (IMG:http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv290/S0unIQ/My%20JZX90%20Mark%20II/th_IMG_0336.jpg)

Back I got 18x9 +38 265/35
I don't have any pictures on hand but I can tell you they can sit tucked in with rolled guards and a little bit of flaring, or if you go neg -3 camber you should be able to get it under without flaring. This is with the car lowered.

Eventually I'll have the same rears but You might be able to judge by these pictures. (keep in mind this is jacked up)

Same size i will be going on th erear of my 90. You will need roughly a 20mm guard roll (I think), depending on how low you want to go of course.

This is 18x10 +15mm. Guard modification is clearly visible.
